Four months after its first edition, the Brazilian Footwear Show - BFSHOW, footwear fair held by the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados) in partnership with NürnbergMesse Brasil, has more than 100 of the main brands in the sector confirmed for the November 21st to 23rd edition, at the FIERGS Exhibition & Convention Centre, in Porto Alegre/RS. The information comes days after the Abicalçados' announcement about the revision of the growth projection for 2023, which went from 1.7% to 2.1%, which means more than 865 million pairs produced.
The CEO of Abicalçados, Haroldo Ferreira, points out that the more than 100 confirmed brands already occupy more than 90% of the spaces available for exhibition. “They are companies of all segments, sizes and footwear local productive arrangements, which demonstrates the unity of the sector in favor of BFSHOW”, comments the director, stressing that most of the companies will be exclusively at BFSHOW. According to him, the footwear industry, in general, adhered to the idea of having an event focused on business, transparent, and that, above all, reverts dividends in favor of the sector development into commercial promotion, image and training projects. ”Not only is the industry optimistic about the results, but it is united in favour of what is best for the business, " he adds.
