Premium Footwear to Have Exclusive Space at BFSHOW

Premium Footwear to Have Exclusive Space at BFSHOW

The growth of the premium fashion market has been shaping the Brazilian trade show landscape. In response to this trend, the 7th edition of BFSHOW, the largest footwear trade show in Latin America, taking place November 10–12 at Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo, Brazil, has created an exclusive space for premium footwear.

Letícia Sperb Masselli, Relationship and Business Manager at the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados), notes that the space was created in response to demand from companies in the segment. “BFSHOW is the world’s leading showcase for Brazilian footwear, and much of its growth has come from listening to our exhibitors and visitors. In response to market demand, we created the Gallery space,” she explains.

According to Felipe Marchioni, Head of NürnbergMesse Brasil (NMB), the company responsible for organizing BFSHOW, the Gallery was designed to highlight not only quality, but also exclusivity and premium materials, which are among the key differentiators of the exhibitors featured in the space. “It is an environment designed to connect companies, boutiques, brands, designers, footwear retailers, and importers of high-value-added footwear,” he emphasizes.

Confirmed Exhibitors
One of the companies confirmed for the Gallery space is Débora Germani, based in Minas Gerais. With 30 years in business, the Brazilian brand specializes in exclusive, handcrafted footwear, including boots, flats, loafers, and sandals featuring distinctive heels and toe shapes, all made entirely of leather. Producing 100 pairs per day, the company is looking to resume exports, which currently account for 5% of its production, with shipments to a customer in the Dominican Republic. According to brand owner Débora Lúcia Righi, the company’s main goal in participating in BFSHOW is to expand its international business. “Our goal is to reach an export share of 20% following the trade show, expanding into a more diverse range of markets,” she says, while highlighting the quality of the importers who attend the footwear trade show. For Righi, the exclusive Gallery space could play a key role in achieving positive results. “Because it is a dedicated space, we expect to attract qualified buyers,” she says. In addition to its own brand, the company also operates under the private-label model, producing footwear under customers’ brands.

Nathália Broker, who represents the Lorraci and Faccini brands, will also be exhibiting in the Gallery space. Founded three decades ago, Lorraci is a footwear company based in Sapiranga, Rio Grande do Sul, focused on domestic boutiques and exports. Producing around 200 pairs of women’s footwear per day, the company is known for a distinctly Brazilian visual identity, with bold colors and distinctive heels. It currently exports 10% of its production to African countries such as Nigeria and Botswana, as well as to Central America and Europe.

Faccini, meanwhile, is a 35-year-old brand based in Igrejinha, Rio Grande do Sul. Producing 250 pairs per day, the company focuses on women’s leather footwear incorporating sustainable materials such as wooden heels, straw, and other accessories. Exports currently account for 15% to 20% of total production, with products shipped to markets across Europe, the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic. Both brands also work with partners under the private-label model. According to Nathália, the main focus of participating in BFSHOW is to open new export markets while continuing to strengthen the domestic market. “We already have confirmed customers, but we expect to bring in new ones. For the November edition, we expect sales to increase by 10% to 15%,” she says.
