Stands of companies of all sizes and segments full have surprised even the most optimistic people on the first day (21) of the 2nd edition of BFSHOW, which takes place until next Thursday (23) at the Transamerica Expo Center, in São Paulo/SP. With more than 300 exhibiting brands, the fair is the largest in Brazil and launches, in this edition, the Spring/Summer collections, responsible for 70% of sales in the national footwear industry. The exhibition is a realization of the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados) with organization by NürnbergMesse Brasil.
The executive president of Abicalçados, Haroldo Ferreira, points out that, more than an expressive visitation, the event had an assertive audience. “BFSHOW has a perfect date to supply retailers right after Mother's Day, the most profitable date for shoe retail,” he points out, noting that the buying public closed orders on the first day of the event. "The results will be added up at the end of the fair, but we can already say that they will be much higher than those recorded in the first edition of the fair. The quality of the audience, with purchasing decision power, encouraged the exhibitors", adds the executive.
This is the same assessment as the CEO of NürnbergMesse Brasil, João Paulo Picolo. “BFSHOW, in its second edition, is already the largest fair in Brazil, including exhibitors from all major footwear poles, segments and sizes. We are excited for the next two days”, comments Picolo, highlighting that the expectation is quite positive, especially with regard to sales in the domestic market, which is expected to grow between 2.2% and 3.4% in 2024, according to data from Abicalçados.
