The figure comes from a report released by the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abical\u00e7ados), which promotes the event organized by N\u00fcrnbergMesse Brasil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Paola Pontin, Business Coordinator at Abical\u00e7ados, the reported amount accounts only for deals made by the 175 international buyers invited through the trade show and the Brazilian Footwear program, an initiative carried out by the association in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). \u201cThe total business volume is certainly much higher, as we welcomed more than 12,300 visitors, around 1,200 of them from over 50 countries,\u201d she explains.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rico Azeredo, Head of New Business at N\u00fcrnbergMesse Brasil, emphasizes the joint effort by BFSHOW and Abical\u00e7ados to bring selected buyers from over 30 countries to the event. \u201cAt BFSHOW, we welcomed importers from every continent except Oceania. Many deals were closed on-site, while several others were set in motion for the coming months. The trade show is a major global showcase for Brazilian footwear,\u201d he celebrates.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Exports<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike last year, when the domestic market played a key role in driving footwear production growth, exports are expected to be the main driver in 2025. According to Abical\u00e7ados, footwear production is projected to grow between 1.4% and 2.2%, while exports are expected to increase by around 4% compared to the previous year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The trade show<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recognized as the biggest footwear trade show in Latin America, the fourth edition of BFSHOW featured 353 Brazilian brands. The next edition of the event will take place from November 10 to 12 at Distrito Anhembi in S\u00e3o Paulo\/SP.
